stolon count, new yorkers, et al

the new yorkers are still blooming...
an they are still cooking berries too...while that part of the season is beginning to wind down...
the whole stolon business is getting out of hand..two plants in the east bed ( the one nearest the camera has produced none ) have created fourteen stolons between them...
i have pinned three in pots to move elsewhere ( where is a question that is taking on more urgency...you'll see in a minute )...this one has taken root...you can tell by the new growth...so we have a potted daughter..
i had to politely ask a stolon that had touched ground in a pot with one that was pinned to move along...too many in one space...
over on the north side the plants have produced a few blooms and three of them have created a combined five stolons...
the two plants on the south side have produced more blooms between than than all the rest put together and now have taken to reproducing...there are seven stolons here...that means we have the potential for at least twenty six daughter plants and it is only may...one can hope for ( but not expect...dna is relentless ) a reproductive slowdown...i may have to build an new bed for berries..i may be in the wild strawberry plant business...a retirement career?
the other wild berries back there are busy too...being pollinated and cooking berries...i have no idea how many stolons they have produced.
