no new york blooms
the wild berries that have taken up residence in my yard of their own volition ( or bird droppings and daughter plants ) are still merrily producing away all over the yard ( first and second as if you couldn't see that )...however Jean, the new york imports are sending clear signals that there will be no blooms or berries this season...what they have been doing up til this point is deploying new leaves( third and fifth ) and feeding roots so they are well established before winter ( tough little plants )...and now they are well established enough they are reproducing...i see stolons on two of the surviving six and that means daughter plants this season and, hopefully, berries next...we will be eyeing this carefully.
